Carol I. Katz, CPA, MS
She graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a BA in Education and has received an MS in Financial Planning from the College of Financial Planning. Her areas of concentration include business taxation and planning as well as individual taxation and estate, financial and retirement planning.
She also has assisted non-profit organizations obtain tax-exempt status. She has been a speaker on various tax topics before professional groups and the general public, an instructor for the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA), and has had articles published in local and national media.
She is a past board member of the MACPA, has served on all of the MACPA tax committees and is past chairperson of the Taxation and Planning for Estate, Gift, and Trusts Committee and the Advanced Tax Institute Committee.
She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the MACPA. Carol has served as Treasurer for a number of non-profit groups. She was a regular guest on WYPR 88.1 FM’s "The Marc Steiner Show" discussing tax and financial planning topics.
